Certainly, the support of the Nordic countries as well as of the entire democratic world has been immensely important in building democracy in Lithuania. But, in analogy, the year we are looking at in Belarus now is not 1989. It is rather 1985 or even 1982.
It is entirely up to you to decide whether such expenses are feasible, but the office will not be working under the conditions of an opening society and decreasing political control as was the case in the Baltic countries in 1989.
