Funding from Nordgen

The purpose of the funding from the Nordic Genetic Resource Centre (NordGen) is to expand co-operation between the Nordic countries with the help of further education and exchanges of experiences and to increase the participants' knowledge of plant production. The outcome does not have to be mutual. To be eligible for funding, the employer must pay a corresponding amount and help cover the costs.

Grant financing from the Nordic Development Fund

NDF provides grant financing for climate change investments in low-income countries.
Eligible areas for NDF grant financing include climate change mitigation and adaptation activities. NDF grants are provided mainly for technical assistance, i.e. consulting services, and for investments, i.e. goods, works, services, and for other applicable expenses in connection with technical assistance.

Grants from the Nordic Council of Ministers under the Nordic strategy for sustainable development 2009–2012

The Nordic Council of Ministers has granted funding for projects which contribute to the implementation of the Nordic strategy for sustainable development in climate and renewable energy; sustainable production and consumption; the welfare society; and education and research, public participation and local sustainability strategies. There will be an external call for project funding in 2012.

Nopef provides financing for feasibility studies

The specific aim of the fund is to strengthen the international competitiveness of Nordic enterprises by providing co-financing for feasibility studies that support the internationalisation of Nordic enterprises. Nopef finances feasibility studies for small and medium-sized Nordic enterprises for business set up in a country outside the EU and EFTA.

Project funding from the North Atlantic Co-operation (NORA)

NORA provides financial grants in support of collaborative projects involving partners from at least two of the four NORA countries (Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland and Coastal Norway). NORA will contribute to strengthening collaboration within the region in order to make the North Atlantic a powerful Nordic region, characterized by strong, sustainable economic development. This happens by strengthening collaboration among the business community, the research organisations and the development agencies throughout the region.

The Letterstedt Association

The aim of the association, according to its charter, is to promote fellowship between the five Nordic countries in terms of industry, science and art. The association's activities consist of granting funds for Nordic purposes, publishing the Nordisk Tidskrift, awarding the Jacob Letterstedt's Nordic Medal for Merit and other activities.

The Nordic-Baltic Mobility and Network Programme for Business and Industry

The Nordic-Baltic Mobility and Network Programme for Business and Industry gives financial support to different stakeholders in the fields of business and industry to carry out study visits, internships, on-the-job training or network activities. The objective of the programme is to strengthen and promote economic co-operation, entrepreneurship, regional cluster co-operation and innovation opportunities. The programme runs from 2009 - 2013 and is administered by the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia.

The West Nordic Fund

The West Nordic Fund lends money to invest in companies in the Faroe Islands and Greenland, as well as to Icelandic companies, for co-operation projects between an Icelandic and/or a Faroese or a Greenlandic company.
