Nordic co-operation on defence
The Nordic countries have a shared history of co-operation in areas such as UN operations, and since the 1990s, this has included training and materials. At the end of 2009 this co-operation became deeper with the formation of the Nordic Defence Co-operation (NORDEFCO). The purpose of NORDEFCO is to enhance operational efficiency through more rational production and co-operation across borders.
