Nordic green II

UN's biodiversity conference in Nagoya

The United Nations declared 2010 to be the International Year of Biodiversity. The Nordic Council of Ministers will also mark this theme year. One of the high points of the year will be the UN's large biodiversity conference being organised in Nagoya, Japan, in October.
The Nordic Ecolabel at "Quality of Life 2010"

This year's ecofair will focus on green economy and green living, the topics that the Nordic Council of Ministers is currently focusing on. Man-made climate change is driving many people to despair. However, we all can do something for a more sustainable future. Buying ecolabelled products is one way of being a more considerate consumer and protecting the environment.
Nordic Council Environment Prize: Seminar in Reykjavik

Seminar with the winners of the Nordic Council Nature and Environment Prize 2010: Merkur Andelskasse (Dk), Ekobanken (Sv) and Cultura bank (N). The prize is awarded to a Nordic individual, company or organisation, which has worked to make an impact on the financial markets, the asset management industry, banks or consultants, and encouraged them to adopt a long-term perspective and integrate sustainability into their asset management.
NESS 2011: Power Landscapes - Histories and Futures

This Conference invites researchers to a sharing of ideas and experiences from a range of different disciplines such as: human geography, sociology, political science, media and communication among others. This 10th Nordic Environmental Social Science Conference is a collaborative effort between Stockholm University, Stockholm Resilience Centre and Stockholm Environment Institute.
Sustainable tourism: business or buzzword? - press event in connection with the Nordic Council Environment Award
