Restoring the North - International conference on restoration of damaged ecosystems in northern regions

ReNo is a Nordic multidisciplinary network of scientists, practitioners, policy makers and entrepreneurs working with ecological restoration. The network is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers and is one of four theme projects initiated by the Icelandic Ministry of Environment for 2009, when Iceland is leading the NCM. All the Nordic countries participate in the project. ReNo is organising an international conference, Restoring the North, in May 2011. There we will explore restoration in northern areas and participate in exchange of experiences between science, policy and praxis.
CanNord 2011- Canada and Nordics Sustainable Solutions for Future Cities

Conference on green opportunities and solutions in Canada and the Nordic region. The focus will be on sustainable transport, energy and housing. The event is hosted by Embassies and Trade Commissions of Sweden, Norway and Denmark in co-operation with the Nordic Council of Ministries and City of Toronto.
Nordic Green Building Councils Conference 2011
Date: Feb 10, 2011 to Feb 11, 2011
The 200 delegates will discuss policies and markets for green buildings and adaptation of environmental building tools in the Nordic countries. In addition to interesting discussions, this event will be an excellent platform for meeting colleagues from the Nordic countries.
NordGen's conference: Alien tree species – possibility or threat?

NordGen gathers the main players and experts in forestry and agriculture at a conference to discuss and respond to currents issues: Which scenarios do researchers and forestry predict for future forestry? If forest production increases, is this at the cost of introducing new pests and outcompeting indigenous species? Which regulations do we need to follow?
Nordic Biogas Conference

The target for the conference is to exchange best practice information of production, distribution and utilization of biogas between the Nordic countries and to establish cooperation and commercial contacts.
