Advisory Group for Nordic Co-operation on Higher Education (HØGUT)
HØGUT will improve and develop joint Nordic educational co-operation for all education and training above upper secondary school level. HØGUT is also responsible for the educational action scheme NORDPLUS.
Co-ordinating Committee for Nordic Studies Abroad
The Co-ordinating Committee for Nordic Studies Abroad works to promote language teaching in the Nordic countries, in Nordic culture and social conditions as well as to increase interest for the Nordic countries in foreign universities and in society in general. The Committee, a body under the Nordic Council of Ministers, gives an economic contribution to joint Nordic events initiated by teachers at the institutions.
Culture, Education and Training Committee
The Nordic Council Culture and Education Committee deals with issues and is responsible for the development of political initiatives in culture and education, including matters of language co-operation, new media, competence development and innovation in education.
Globalisation Co-operation
The climate, environment and energy, research, education, training and innovation, cross-border freedom of movement and a higher profile for the Nordic countries are areas all the Nordic governments will prioritise in future in order to face up to the challenges posed by globalisation and thus create new opportunities for the Nordic region.
Nordic Council of Ministers for Education and Research (MR-U)
The Nordic governments' co-operation in the field of research and education is led by the Nordic ministers of education and research, MR-U. The council of ministers works to ensure that the Nordic Region maintains a leading position the field of knowledge and competencies.
Nordic Journalist Centre
The Nordic Journalist Centre will create and maintain interest in the media for Nordic affinity and cultural community. This goal is reached by courses, seminars and other competence building initiatives.
Nordic Summer University (NSU)
The Nordic Summer University is a Nordic network for research and interdisciplinary studies. The goal is to provide researchers and students with a good platform for the exchange and development of new ideas.
