Nordic co-operation on regional policy
The Nordic countries vary in terms of geography and population, from densley populated cities to the sparsel, almost uninhabited North Atlantic and Arctic. Nevertheless, we have a long tradition of co-operation on regional policy, partly because of our shared history and culture, similar social and welfare systems, and our common form of democracy. Nordic co-operation on regional policy focuses on generating growth and better living conditions on the basis of each area’s potential and need. The objective is to help develop the whole of the Nordic Region’s ability to innovate and its economic growth potential.
