50 years of focus on journalism

The Nordic Journalist Centre is holding a conference to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The event, in Århus 24-25 October, will look to the future as well as back at the last half century. NJC brings together media workers from all over the Nordic Region – Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Åland and Greenland – for in-service training and seminars.

CFJE has been responsible for running the Nordic Journalist Centre, NJC, since the new year. After the summer holidays ideas and thoughts on NJC’s future work will be apparent in new initiatives and activities. NJC’s future activities will be based on the centre’s historical title and background as Nordic Journalist Course. Nordic and Journalist will be emphasised. “These two concepts will be recurring themes throughout everything that NJC does”, writes Steen K. Rasmussen, manager NJC.
