Would you like to have a summer job in another Nordic country? Then Nordjobb is probably for you. If you live in a Nordic country, are between 18 and 28 and speak either Danish, Norwegian or Swedish, please read on.
The Nordjobb programme arranges summer jobs for young people in the Nordic countries. It is financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Norden Association and the participating employers.
Nordjobb offers summer jobs in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland. Nordjobb also helps you find somewhere to stay and offers an interesting recreation programme.
Nordjobb arranges mainly traditional summer jobs on farms, in hotels or youth hostels, service, factory or warehouse work, as well as jobs in nursing homes and daycare centres.
You will not be offered a job in your home country with the exception that Finns can work in Åland. You will always be paid according to the wage agreement and you will pay tax in the country in which you work. Nordjobb organises accommodation and the job but you will pay your own travel and rent. It is up to the employers to decide who they will take on.
