Lars Wegendahl, the chair of the Nordic Council’s Culture, Education and Training Committee called for clear content in the new Nordic action plan for culture during today’s debate at the Nordic Council Session.

“Let’s get the content right before looking at what structures are needed,” he said.

Wegendahl also expressed concern that the individual countries might seek to preserve their own institutions instead of looking for Nordic synergies.

The Nordic Ministers of Culture are also meeting with the Nordic Council Cultural Committee today.
