What is the Nordic model exactly and how do the Nordic countries tackle green growth? A new web magazine from the Nordic Council of Ministers explores these issues.
The Nordic model is heralded worldwide as a viable path towards a sustainable future. Green growth is also a key priority for the co-operation between the Nordic countries in the next few years.
“The Nordic Region – leading in green growth” is the Nordic Prime Ministers' shared green growth initiative under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The aim is to create joint Nordic solutions to shared problems in selected areas.
Nordic cooperation is the most extensive regional partnership in the world and the Nordic region as such is a leading global “lab” for exploring cross-border cooperation. We hope to highlight valuable aspects of this experience and explore potential new avenues as well.
“Green Growth - the Nordic Way” tells the tale of the various projects initiated by the Nordic Prime Ministers and follows a number of other green growth activities under the Nordic Council of Ministers.
