Choirs nominated for Nordic music prize
Nominations have closed for the Nordic Council Music Prize 2007. Twelve choirs from throughout the Nordic Region will compete for the DKK 350,000 prize, which will be presented at the Nordic Council Session in Oslo at the end of October. For the first time in the history of the prize, the 2007 theme is choral singing.
A total of twelve choirs have been nominated, two each from each of the five member countries and one each from two of the autonomous territories, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. No nominations were received from Åland.
