Climate change in Danish-German border district
A theme conference on climate changes will take place in Flensborg on Saturday 1 March. It is being organised by the Nordic Information Office in Flensborg and the South Schleswig Voters' Committee Landtag group. The Members of the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag, Anke Spoorendonk and Lars Harms, will participate.
Among the participants will be the climate and marine environment expert from the Faroe Islands, Professor Bogi Hansen, who is a winner of the Nordic Council Environment Prize. The audience will also meet Slesvig-Holsten’s Minister for the Environment, Christian von Bötticher, and the Socialist People's Party’s (SF) spokesperson on climate and energy in the Danish Parliament, Anne Grete Holmsgaard. Other speakers will be the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Halldór Asgrimsson, and Sven-Erik Reinke from ‘Glokale Sydslesvigere’.
Anette Jensen, Director of the Nordic Information Office, assures Radio P4 Syd that the conference will be run in way that even non-experts can join in.
