Declaration of intent regarding co-operation
Premier of Québec Philippe Couillard and Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers Dagfinn Høybråten have signed a declaration of intent to work together more closely.
This concluded the Northern Development conference where researchers, experts, and politicians from across the Nordic Region and Canada met to exchange knowledge and experiences of education, green growth, and social development in general.
Speakers included Icelandic President Ólafur Ragnar Grimsson, who stressed the importance of both regions working together in the Arctic.
“The size of the conference has been most impressive, with around 450 delegates gathering to attend more than 30 seminars, as has the clear enthusiasm for the continued exchange of ideas,” Høybråten comments.
