Newsweek: Finland best in world

The Nordic countries have come out on top of the Newsweek ranking of the best places in the world to live. Finland claimed top spot, followed by Sweden in third, Norway in sixth and Denmark in tenth. Iceland did not feature in the comparative survey of one hundred countries.

The factors studied were health, education, quality of life, economy and politics. It is the first time that Newsweek has published a ranking of this nature.

Burkina Faso was ranked number 100, just ahead of Nigeria and Cameroon.
