Nordic Council theme session in Brussels cancelled

Due to the heightened level of security in Brussels and the European Parliament, the President of the Nordic Council for 2015 Höskuldur Þórhallsson has decided to cancel the Council’s theme session in Brussels.
“Following close discussions with the European Parliament regarding the consequences of this, we cannot justify continuing to plan the theme session in light of the continued uncertainty that surrounds whether the event could take place,” he says.
The Council is seeking to hold ordinary meetings and a session in Copenhagen on 25 and 26 March.
