Project funding for sustainable development 2011
The Nordic Council of Ministers funds projects that support the implementation of the Nordic sustainability strategy. The focus in 2011 will be on education and training, as well as local partnerships.
Grants from the Sustainable Development Pool 2011 will go to projects that focus on local partnerships and education and training in sustainable development.
The Nordic strategy for sustainable development, (Sustainable Development: New Bearings for the Nordic Countries – Revised edition, with goals and priorities 2000–2012), outlines the Nordic Council of Ministers’ general, multisectoral work on sustainable development.
The strategy focuses on areas in which the Nordic countries share common interests and face joint challenges; in which the Region is particularly well placed to contribute to sustainable development; and in which partnerships add value, help to enhance competences and make more efficient use of resources.
The budget is expected to be approx. DKK 2.3 million, and it is expected that 2–6 proposals will be approved.
