The new agreement means that the Nordic countries and Andorra will have joint insight into the financial affairs of people who seek to avoid paying tax on income and/or capital. It will also make it easier to expose assets and income in home countries.

It is the twelfth such agreement signed by Andorra, which moves the country up the “white list”, i.e. the list of countries that comply with the OECD standards for transparency and information exchange on tax affairs.

The agreement was signed on 24 February 2010 at a ceremony at the Swedish Embassy in Paris.
