The Danish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers held a conference in April 2010 entitled "Promotion of Nordic Higher Education and Research - Classification and Ranking on the Nordic Agenda?"

The conference brought together Nordic representatives from universities, university colleges, ministries and interest groups for a debate on how tools such as classification and ranking can be used to promote Nordic institutions at the European and global level.
