"Co-operation between the Nordic and the Baltic countries is of the utmost importance for meeting the challenges and opportunities before us in the Baltic Sea Region", said the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Halldór Ásgrímsson, at a conference organised in Vilnius on 23 February, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nordic-Baltic co-operation.
