List of calls for applications and funding schemes financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers for Education and Science (MR-U).
The Nordic-Russian Co-operation Programme in Higher Education and Research
The Nordic-Russian Co-operation Programme in Higher Education and Research is intended to promote multifaceted contacts in the fields of education and research, in the interests of sustainable social and economic development in Russia and the Nordic countries.
Nordplus funding
Nordplus funds projects whose purpose is: to promote Nordic languages and culture and mutual Nordic-Baltic linguistic and cultural understanding; to help to develop quality and innovation in educational systems for lifelong learning in the participating countries, via partnerships, development projects, knowledge exchanges and networks; to support, develop, use and promote innovative products and processes in the education sector, through systematic exchanges of experiences; to improve and develop Nordic co-operation on education, and to help to establish Nordic-Baltic co-operation in the same area. Institutions and organisations are eligible to apply, not individuals.
Nordic Summer University funding
The Nordic Summer University funds study and research activities. Funding is provided primarily for the circles that hold winter symposiums each year, organise the programme for the summer semester and publish the summer university's publications. The project must have a Nordic angle.
NIAS SUPRA programme - Student's gateway to Asia
NIAS SUPRA - Support Programme for Asian Studies is a network for students in the Nordic region who studies Asia. The programme offers scholarships and academic services.
NORDVULK Programme
Nordvulk focuses on young scientists. Every year five posts for young volcanologists are advertised, which gives other Nordic citizens the opportunity to come and live in Iceland.
NORDITA Scientific Programmes
A Nordita Scientific Programme is an extended workshop where a limited number of scientists work together on specific topics for a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
Funding for Nordic culture, language and education projects
The Co-ordinating Committee for Nordic Studies Abroad works to promote teaching of the Nordic languages and cultures at foreign universities.
Funding from the Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (NOS-HS)
The Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (NOS-HS) calls for applications in support of NORdic COllaborative Research Projects (NORDCORP). NOS-HS promotes Nordic research and develops new and innovative research fields in the humanities and social sciences.
Nordic Publications Committee for Humanist and Social Sciences Periodicals (NOP-HS) funding for periodicals
Humanist and social sciences periodicals can apply for funding from the Nordic Publications Committee for Humanist and Social Sciences Periodicals (NOP-HS) every year. Grants are available for Nordic based humanities and social sciences publications, which have a broad Nordic editorial composition and a broad Nordic spread of both writers and subscribers.
Applications granted Sino-Nordic network for higher education, research and innovation
The Nordic Council of Ministers invited Nordic universities to apply for 3-years of funding for projects aimed at strengthening co-operation in eduction, research and innovation between Nordic and Chinese universities and other innovation partners in the Shanghai area. The Nordic Council of Ministers has decided to allocate funding to the following 6 projects.
