NordGen gathers the main players and experts in forestry and agriculture at a conference to discuss and respond to currents issues: Which scenarios do researchers and forestry predict for future forestry? If forest production increases, is this at the cost of introducing new pests and outcompeting indigenous species? Which regulations do we need to follow?

The programme ‘Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration’ is administered by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Estonia and was established for the period 2009-2013 to promote and strengthen co-operation and exchange in the NB8 countries (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden). The overall goal is to increase the global competitive power of the region.
The programme will support the workshop ‘Documentation and access to material and information of vegetatively propagated plants and forest resources’ which will be held at the ‘Estonian University of Life Science’ in the city of Tartu, September 12-15. About 25 persons will attend, where NordGen represents the Nordic countries.
