The Danish Ministry of Education invites you to a Nordic conference on understanding our neighbouring languages with particular focus on Danish. The conference "Why is Danish so difficult?" will be held in the North Atlantic House in Copenhagen and is part of the Nordic Language Campaign. It is co-hosted by the Nordic Language Co-ordination and the Danish Language Board.

Nordic Climate Day is being organised for the third time on 11/11/2011. This year the theme is food and the climate. The aim of the Climate Day is to encourage pupils and teachers to have discussions on the climate through a theme day consisting of different climate-related assignments and competitions. The focus of this conference is on ethical questions regarding mental health seen from different perspectives. To what extent can the socio-psychological and the biological explanations find common ground to work towards a better understanding of the human mind and the prevention of mental health disease in the Nordic countries? The conference will examine issues from a multidisciplinary perspective, highlighting the ethical aspects by looking at some current mental health problems in the Nordic societies today.

The workshop will focus on how the Nordic Council of Ministers can optimise co-operation between the secretariat, the institutions and the co-operative bodies, when communicating the results from initiatives and projects in the areas of knowledge, and health and welfare. The final result will be a concrete work plan that will set guidelines for a better and more effective co-ordination between the involved bodies.
