Funding from NordForsk for networks of national research schools
Nordforsk wishes to facilitate co-operation at Nordic level between the national research schools the Nordic countries. The intention is to encourage mutual exchanges of ideas and competences, to promote mobility and to increase coherence in the Region's researcher training. National research schools are eligible to apply for funding. Research schools from at least two Nordic countries must be involved.
Grants from NordForsk for seed-corn funding
NordForsk provides seed-corn funding to research environments in the Nordic Region and the Baltic countries in order to support outstanding research at an early stage. The intention is to identify and strengthen promising academic initiatives that may later develop into outstanding research results at elite level. Relatively little funding is required to facilitate the development of new ideas until they can be promoted elsewhere. Research environments in the Nordic Region and the Baltic countries are eligible to apply. To be eligible for funding, projects must involve participants from a minimum of either three Nordic countries, or two Nordic and one Baltic.
NordForsk: Stem Cell Mobility Programme
NordForsk’s mobility programme for post-doctoral stem cell researchers aims to support stem cell research within the Nordic countries. Eligible applicants are individuals with a PhD degree. Most of the research scholarships are administered by a university or a research institute. Applicants must co-operate with another university or research institute in another Nordic country, where two and a half of the three years of the project must be conducted.
NordForsk funding for research training courses
Nordforsk funds research training courses in the Nordic Region and the three Baltic countries. The objective is to offer research training in fields that are difficult for the national research institutions to cover on their own.
