At EXPO 2010 KreaNord wants to show the world how the Nordic countries support design companies which work in the field of technical aids for the disabled, which through sound and experience-based design make an epic difference for people with disabilities.

The focus will be on the user's needs as the primary innovation driver in the development of the products. There is a desire to present the Nordic countries as socially responsible and fully acceptant of all people, in this case to people with disabilities. The exhibition with the title “Better City, Better Life” EXPO 2010 opens up the opportunity to focus on disabled people's relationship with the city.

The emphasis is on both the material and the immaterial, which supports the goal of presenting Nordic design as an overall process, in which the development and process from start to the finish may be considered as important as the product itself. Therefore, the Nordic region will assert itself as one of the areas in the world which has experience, and will market itself as a possible partner for industrial design, but also for user-driven innovation, which is tailored to the individual user's needs.

Innovation in welfare is consistent with the Nordic countries' vision to emerge as welfare exporters.
