Developments in greenhouse gas emissions by sector
This indicator shows the contribution of key source categories to total
greenhouse gas emissions, and how they change over time. A key source
category is defined as an emission source category that has a significant
influence on a country’s greenhouse gas inventory in terms of the absolute
level of emissions, the trend in emissions, or both.
The different greenhouse gases are weighted by their global warming
potential, and the results are expressed in CO2 equivalents. potential, and the results are expressed in CO2 equivalents.
