About the Nature and Environment Prize
The purpose of the Nature and Environment Prize is to increase awareness of nature and environmental work in the Nordic countries. Since 1995 it has been awarded along with the other Nordic Council prizes.
Scandic Hotels win the Nordic Council Environment Prize: We will be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
The Scandic hotel chain has won the Nordic Council Environment Prize 2011. The chain's Norwegian Director, Svein-Arild Steen-Mevold, accepted the prize in Copenhagen on 2 November at an award ceremony during the Nordic Council Session.
