Information on the Nature and Environment Prize 2012
The Nature and Environment Prize 2012 will be awarded to a Nordic individual, company, or organisation, which, in an exemplary and successful way, has worked to boost biological diversity in their own local area or internationally, and/or has increased public awareness on this subject.

Proposals for nominations for the prize in 2012 could be submitted up until 12 December 2011. Many excellent proposals have been received. The Adjudication Committee will select up to 13 nominations by 16 April at the latest.
The winner will be announced in Oslo on 22 May and the prize will be awarded at the Nordic Council's annual Session in Helsinki at the end of October 2012.
