The Nordic Council's grants for journalists

The Nordic Council's grants for journalists are distributed each year in all the Nordic countries. The intention of the grants is to give journalists the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the Nordic countries and Nordic co-operation.

Freelance journalists as well as journalists employed in the daily press, in magazines, with radio and TV can apply for a scholarship grant.

Statues for the Nordic Council's journalistic grants were approved by the Nordic Council’s Presidium in 1980 and took effect in January 1981.

The scholarship must be used within one year of disbursement. The recipient of the scholarship must then write a report on how the scholarship grant was used. It is preferable that this report be written in a journalistic form so that it can be published here on the Nordic Council's website.
