Maps of the Nordic Region
It may be handy to know where to find maps of the Nordic countries, both for printing and for use on your own homepage. Or to find out what the country looks like, and where the different cities, fjords, mountains and so on, are. Here is a collection of links to maps of the Nordic countries, which are free to use. Some are better than others, but you can quickly work out which map works best for your own needs.
NORDIC REGION: A map bank with maps of the Region. You can choose to have the maps shown according to different categories. For example, population and demography, energy and environment, etc. The maps can be used freely provided you clearly indicate the source, i.e. Nordregio's logo and website.

NORDIC REGION (+ Europe + world): On this website you will find maps of the individual Nordic countries. However, the site is protected by Danish copyright law, and therefore the maps may not be used without permission. You can, however, use the maps in another way. Place the map on your own website and link to 'at-rejse-er-at-leve.dk' from the map - that way the map becomes interactive. Or you can download the map with a return link to 'at-rejse-er-at-leve.dk'.
NORDIC REGION (EU-countries): Map of all the EU countries. The European Commission has the copyright to the pictures, but reproduction is permitted. For the Nordic countries the map is rather incomplete since many of the major cities are not listed. Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland are missing.

FINLAND: Map of Finland.
NORWAY + Scandinavia: A good, detailed map of Norway, where you can zoom in to the places you would like to look more closely at. You can also zoom in on the other Scandinavian countries, like Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the Faroe Islands. However, the quality of these maps is not nearly as good as the map of Norway.

NORDIC REGION: Good maps of the whole Region. The Faroe Islands, Greenland, Åland and even Svalbard are included. There is no information on copyright, but you can always link to the map from your own website.
