The Nordic Council of Ministers has just initiated a joint venture with the United Nations Environment Programme, where Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay may set up a new ecolabel inspired by the Nordic countries.

Nordiska rådet beslutade därför på sitt möte den 3 november att dra igång det som kan bli upptakten till en större nordisk framstöt om matavfall. Det är i linje med de nordiska statsministrarnas önskan om att upprioritera samarbetet om avfallshantering i Norden.

Det skal også sikre kæmpe besparelser i sundhedssektoren.

- The prime ministers must take a greater responsibility for the climate and the finance ministers must calculate climate matters into all budget considerations. This will bring the Nordic Region back in the lead when it comes to international climate policies, according to the Nordic Council. The Council also proposes setting up an international fund for technology development in climate issues.
