As part of the campaign “United Against Food Waste Nordic”, the Nordic Council of Ministers has launched a photo competition to illustrate the scope for recycling food and inspiring people to reduce food waste in a fun way. You can participate by uploading pictures of dishes made with leftover food on your Instagram profile using the hashtag #StopFoodWasteNordic
The competition runs 1–15 September. The winner will be announced on the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Instagram account (@Nordicways) and on United Against Food Waste Nordic’s Facebook page.
The competition is open to all Instagram users in the Nordic-Baltic Region aged 18 or older at the start of the competition. No form of purchase is necessary.
You can enter the competition by uploading pictures of dishes made with leftover food on your Instagram profile using the hashtag #StopFoodWasteNordic. Pictures must be tagged #StopFoodWasteNordic in order to be eligible for the prize.
The Instagram profile needs to be publicly visible to allow us to view your pictures and for you to be part of the competition. To do this, select “Edit Your Profile” and turn off “‘photos are private”. You can upload and hashtag as many pictures as you want.
By adding the hashtag to your picture, you also accept that we can contact you if you are the lucky winner of the competition.
The Nordic Council of Ministers will select an entry at random. See the photos submitted to the competition on facebook.
The winner will receive €1,000. The prize will be subject to the tax rules in the winner’s country of residence. It is the winner’s responsibility to disclose the amount to the tax authorities. The winner will be chosen immediately after the closing date of the competition.
By hashtagging your pictures with #StopFoodWasteNordic, you consent to the Nordic Council of Ministers reproducing them on Facebook, Instagram and norden.org.
The winner will be contacted via a comment on the winning picture. The winner will also be announced on United Against Food Waste Nordic’s Facebook page. The winner will be asked to send a private message or an e-mail providing the necessary contact information. Three attempts will be made to contact the winner. If there is no response after the third attempt, the prize will be withdrawn and a new winner chosen. The prize will be sent after the closing date for the competition.
The Nordic Council of Ministers reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions or to cancel the competition without notice. In the event of suspicion of fraud, the Council of Ministers reserves the right to exclude users without notice.
The Nordic Council of Ministers will not sell or disclose personal data to third parties. The Council of Ministers will solely use personal data to contact the winner, and will discard this data once the competition is over.
