The Nordic countries have a joint pavilion at the UN Climate negotiations in Marrakech, November 7-18, 2016, under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The Nordic pavilion at COP22 will highlight New Nordic Climate Solutions through a series of events and activities focusing on a greener future.
Author of the exhibition 'Climate Change in Lapland - What can we do?' displayed in the green zone of the COP22, Stéphanie C. Lefrère, independent expert representing the Finnish Environment Institute SYKE, will tell about the impact of warming on the biodiversity. The event takes place at the New Nordic Climate Solutions Pavilion - Section DEL2, Blue Zone, COP22.
Designed from an educational perspective, the exhibition informs the public of the effects of climate change in the Arctic, more specifically in Lapland. This interactive, visual exhibition, based on recent scientific data, also aims to show how everyone at their own level can adopt a more environmentally friendly attitude in their daily lives.
