The Nordic countries have a joint pavilion at the UN Climate negotiations in Marrakech, November 7-18, 2016, under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The Nordic pavilion at COP22 will highlight New Nordic Climate Solutions through a series of events and activities focusing on a greener future.
The objective of the side event is to demonstrate how Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) can be structured to deliver NDC commitments. Lessons learnt from the early experiences of the NAMA Facilityʼs focus on catalyzing transformational change towards sustainable low emissions development in a number of developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, will be showcased. Together with country partners, examples will be drawn from sectors such as low emissions transport, refrigeration and air conditioning and housing. The event takes place at the New Nordic Climate Solutions Pavilion - Section DEL2, Blue Zone, COP22.
