The Nordic Council of Ministers has published the Nordic Statistical Yearbook since 1962. It gives a unique insight into figures, facts and trends in every imaginable area in and among the Nordic countries.
In 2012 the Nordic Statistical Yearbook will be published for the 50th time.
The Yearbook was first published in 1962, and the intention was to provide a concise and clear explanation of statistics on the social conditions in the five Nordic countries, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Many of the tables also contain information about the Faroe Islands, Greenland and the Åland Islands.
