Naapurit yhdessä ihmiskauppaa vastaan

Pohjoismaiden ministerineuvosto järjestää kansainvälisen konferenssin ihmiskaupan vastaisista toimista Pietarissa 16.–17. huhtikuuta. Konferenssissa tarkastellaan alan yhteistyömahdollisuuksia Pohjoismaiden, Baltian valtioiden ja Luoteis-Venäjän kesken.

Konferenssin ohjelman aiheina ovat yhteistyö ihmiskaupan torjumiseksi ja yhteistyö, jolla vähennetään ihmiskaupan uhriksi joutumisen riskiä. Konferenssissa vaihdetaan myös kokemuksia ihmiskaupan poliisitutkinnasta ja uhrien kuntoutuksesta sekä siitä, miten ihmiskauppaan liittyvää väkivaltaa voitaisiin estää. Lisäksi tarkastellaan mahdollisuuksia estää teini-ikäisten kaupallista seksuaalista hyväksikäyttöä Pietarissa.

Konferenssin tavoitteena on koota yhteen eri maiden voimat, Baltian maiden kansalaisjärjestöt, sosiaalialan laitokset ja oppilaitokset.

Tapahtuman järjestävät yhteistyössä Pietarin kaupunki ja Pohjoismaiden ministerineuvoston Pietarin-toimisto 16.–17. huhtikuuta Pietarissa (Smolnassa, Pietarin kaupungintalolla).
