Who are we?

The Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) is the official body of cooperation between the five Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, along with the three autonomous areas: Greenland, the Faroe Islands and the Aaland Islands. In 2001 the Nordic Council of Ministers adopted the first regional sustainable development strategy in the world. Since then, a sustainabilty approach has been incorporated into all the activities of the NCM.
