Call for applications: the Nordic Council of Ministers’ NGO program

The Nordic Council of Ministers’ NGO program is now open for applications. The deadline for incoming applications is 27 April, 2013.

2013-03-08

The Nordic Council of Ministers’ program for NGOs was launched in 2006 with the aim to promote co-operation between Nordic, Baltic, Polish, Belarusian and Russian NGOs.  The program follows the Guidelines for Co-operation with Northwest Russia, Belarus and the Baltic States 2009–2013.

The NGO program grants financial support to projects which seek to strengthen civil society and improve cross-border relations between the Nordic countries, Northwest Russia, Belarus, Poland and the Baltic States.

Since its initiation, the NGO program has provided funding to more than 60 projects with a total value of more than DKK 30 million in priority areas such as the environment, healthcare, children and vulnerable groups, as well as the development of democracy.

In order to continue its co-operation with NGOs, the Nordic Council of Ministers is now launching a new application round for the NGO program. Organisations from the Nordic countries, Northwest Russia, Belarus, Poland and the Baltic States are invited to apply.  The deadline for applications is 27 April, 2013.
