The path we take to reach the 1.5˚C target is crucial. This event will showcase good practices and tools that countries can use to reduce both near and long-term warming with benefits for health and sustainable development and put the world on a path to prevent up 0.6⁰C by mid-century.

Maritime transport is responsible for about 2.5% of global GHG emissions and this share is expected to grow. It is key that we decarbonise the shipping sector. The session would focus on current developments in maritime fuels, infrastructure and policies and how we can scale these up sufficiently.
