The 2nd Baltic Wood Construction Forum

Forum Wood Building Baltic 2021 is a Forum Holzbau conference with an accompanying networking event of selected companies related to timber construction, for the second time in the Baltic and for the first time in Latvia. It aims to present the latest international developments in timber architecture, engineering and technology to an audience of construction professionals including architects, engineers, contractors, housing organizations, planners, manufacturers and urban designers. Forum Holzbau was established 25 years ago as platform of leading universities for knowledge and technology transfer in timber construction and achieves the goal through its pan-European program of conferences and exhibitions. In Latvia FORUM HOLZBAU cooperates with the Riga Technical University (RTU).

On April 14, the main topic of the Forum will be a climate neutrality and other issues at the European level, on April 15, the Latvian and other countries' wood building projects will be presented, while on April 16, it will be possible to get acquainted with research on timber structures. The events will take place every day from 9.00 to 16.00 and will be divided into thematic blocks. The day will start with networking events and company presentations, but lecturers' presentations will take place from 10:00 to 15:00 At the end of each day, a discussion with lecturers is planned.

The Forum will be held in English. The first 300 registered participants will receive a 100% discount on the participation fee, the remaining participation fee for all three days - 210 EUR. The registration form is available at:

Forum Wood Building Baltic in Latvia is organized by RTU in cooperation with Holzbau Forum and Tallinn University of Technology, Latvian Union of Architects, Latvian Association of Civil Engineers, Latvian Association of Building Designers, Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Institute, Latvian Wooden Construction Cluster , NGO Zalas majas and Koka dienas, as well as the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia.
