Meanwhile, the importance of urban ecosystems and the benefits they provide have been widely recognized and is now part of international sustainable urban development strategies. Recently, the UN and the EU have proposed targets for increase and restoration of urban green space. This conference raises questions about how Nordic cities and communities can prepare for new targets and for the transformation into greener, healthier, and more resilient societies.

The conference will focus on sharing knowledge and best practice, discussing next practice within this field, building networks of professionals in public and private sector and give inspiring examples from the Nordic countries.

Day 1 will focus on how urban green space can contribute to healthier built environments that are adapted to climate change. Day 2 will focus on how this transformation can be implemented, discussing tools and methods as well as cases. You can participate either one of the days or both.  It is also possible to join day 1 online.

Last date for registration to the conference in Stockholm is 18th of November and the last date for registration to online participation is 25th of November
