The main purpose of the programme is encourage closer Nordic and Russian co-operation on education and research by promoting mobility programmes for lecturers, staff and students, networking, joint courses and other activities designed to promote sustainable, long-term co-operation.
The programme is based on a memorandum of understanding drawn up by the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
Nordforsk is running the programme on behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers. It has issued a call for funding applications for a pool of NOK 2 million. Research projects with partners in Greenland will also be invited to apply for funding from specially earmarked additional funding. The deadline for applications is 17 October 2019.
