As a warm-up to World Circular Economy Forum 2017 in Helsinki 5-7 June, the new edition of the web magazine Green Growth the Nordic Way focuses on circularity as a means of implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Nordic countries have demonstrated their willingness to play a leadership role in SDG implementation, and Nordic co-operation is paving the way for circularity on multiple fronts. This edition includes articles about the Nordic bioeconomy approach to fashion and textile production and the circular aspects of public procurement.

It also covers the new Nordic programme to reduce the environmental impact of plastic, in which the environment ministers plot a course toward more sustainable use and recycling.

The Nordic Council of Ministers is the biggest partner and co-funder of the WCEF 2017. A follow-up article on Nordic activities at the Forum will be published in a later edition of Green Growth the Nordic Way.
