Nordic civil society network for Agenda 2030

01.06.18 | Project
As part of its Generation 2030 programme, the Nordic Council of Ministers has embarked on a project to create a Nordic civil society network for the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The Nordic Council of Ministers has tasked the “92 group” with this project – a Danish umbrella organisation of environmental and development organisations.

01.06.2018 - 31.12.2019

The Nordic civil society network will collaborate on joint dialogue, activities, and knowledge sharing. The project will combine Nordic experiences and issues in order to identify common solutions which, through dialogue with policy decision-makers, could result in the better implementation of Agenda 2030.

The project includes closer co-ordination between the Nordic civil society networks, a joint Nordic meeting in the autumn of 2018, participation in the dialogue meetings of the Generation 2030 programme in the spring of 2019, and a side event at the UN High-Level Political Forum in New York in 2019. In addition, the project will produce an analysis with recommendations based on the exchange of experiences and best practice in the Nordic Region.
