Nomination form for the 2020 Nordic Council Environment Prize

The Nordic Council Environment Prize will be awarded for the 26th time this year. Anyone is welcome to put forward candidates for the DKK 350,000 prize. The theme for the prize this year is biodiversity.

The 2020 Nordic Council Environment Prize will be awarded to a Nordic initiative that seeks to safeguard a richer nature for our shared future. This year’s theme reflects and supports UN sustainable development goals 14 and 15 of life below water and life on land.

The deadline for nominations is 13 May

How does the initiative fulfil the criteria for the prize in terms of impact, innovation, scalability, potential and relevance?

Take the following criteria into consideration when outlining your reasons for submitting the nomination. Note that it must not exceed one A4 page. 

  1. Impact: In what way does the initiative help ensure biodiversity?
  2. Innovation: How does the initiative differ from others in its field?
  3. Scalability and potential: How can the initiative be scaled up to cover other countries and/or sectors?
  4. Relevance: What value does the initiative have for environmental work in the Nordic Region?
