Arctic Co-operation Programme 2023
Tietoja
All projects must take as their starting point the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Vision 2023 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. They must also relate to the four Ps: PLANET, PEOPLE, PROSPERITY and PARTNERSHIPS.
The annual application deadline is 15 February.
Nordic and Arctic partners
To ensure a firm grounding in both the Arctic and the Nordic Region, all co-operation projects must involve partners from at least three Nordic countries, i.e. Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands or Åland.
They can also be supplemented with one or more Arctic partners from outside the Nordic Region, as long as the lead partner is from one of the Nordic countries.
What do we want to achieve?
The programme’s overall purpose is to contribute to the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Vision 2030, i.e. that the Nordic Region will be the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030.
The programme promotes Nordic co-operation in the Arctic and helps build knowledge about the Arctic environment, economy and social conditions.
This is done through the development of Nordic and Arctic partnerships that will lead to specific solutions to the current challenges and needs of the Arctic. With this in mind, the focus is on setting up and running networks and meeting places that will help improve mobility and integration and facilitate exchanges of experience.
Projects may apply for up to DKK 500,000 per annum over a period of max. three years. This makes it possible to establish long-term co-operation projects and networks.
The annual application deadline is 15 February.
