Climate change is affecting the lifes of Indigenous Peoples globally. The Arctic region is warming at a much faster rate than the global average. The event will highlight how Indigenous People in the Arctic are affected by climate change, and how traditional knowledge may contribute to ways of adaptation to climate change not only in the North.

Representatives of Indigenous Peoples from Russia, Sweden, North America and Africa will tell about their experiences and ways of influencing climate change policies. 

The Nordic working group for global climate negotiations (NOAK)

Reducing all climate forcers is necessary, including short-lived climate pollutants. Addressing Arctic SLCPs can contribute to quick emission reductions and health development goals. A dialogue between Arctic Council, Climate and Clean Air Coalition and the NCM addresses SLCP actions and synergies for climate and health in the Arctic and globally.
