Nature-based solutions in seven Nordic countries

The Nordic Council of Ministers has initiated innovative pilot projects on nature-based solutions in seven Nordic countries and projects that work with the synergy between biodiversity and climate.

The young people have worked together across national borders, and mobilised the support of 3,000 young people to produce a Nordic Youth Position Paper on Biodiversity.

From deal to reality

As part of a two-pronged event, they'll debate with Nordic political leaders about what's needed to make the new Global Biodiversity Framework a reality, and discuss the importance of youth involvement and nature-based solutions.

The event will furthermore draw on the latest findings from Nordic research on nature-based solutions, including research status, case studies, and policy options to bring about synergy between biodiversity and the mitigation of climate change.
