This issue of "Green Growth the Nordic Way" looks at some of the Nordic activities in the Arctic and North Atlantic linked to both the green and blue economy.

The project Growth in Blue Bioeconomy in the Northeast Atlantic and Arctic explores the potential of a sector that is virtually essential to the economies of the North, namely fisheries and aquaculture.

Two other projects run by NORA – Nordic Atlantic Cooperation, an intergovernmental organization under the Nordic Council of Ministers, look at ways to provide sustainable heating in remote areas and the prospects of creating less energy intensive transport systems in the North.

Finally, you can read about Plan Nord, an International Symposium on Northern Development  co-hosted by the Nordic Council of Ministers along with the government of Québec, as well as other news from the North.
