Gender pay gap

The unadjusted Gender Pay Gap represents the difference between average gross hourly earnings of male paid employees and of female paid employees as a percentage of average gross hourly earnings of male paid employees.

The gender pay gap in Denmark, Norway and Sweden is between 14 to 15 per cent and is below the level of the EU. The gap is slightly wider in Finland and Iceland – around 17.5 per cent in 2015. From 2007 to 2015, the gap has diminished in all the Nordic countries.
