Gender pay gap

The unadjusted Gender Pay Gap represents the difference between average gross hourly earnings of male paid employees and of female paid employees as a percentage of average gross hourly earnings of male paid employees.

The gender pay gap in Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden is between 14 to 16 per cent and is below the level of the EU. The gap is slightly wider in Finland – around 18 per cent in 2014. From 2007 to 2014, the gap has diminished in all the Nordic countries.
